Practice was decent and I started 4th behind some illustrious names. I drove two sessions in practice with out a single excursion. It was already clear that my setup was too wing heavy but too late to venture into low downforce.
And so to the race. I got a good start and went side by side down the hill but somehow touched Stefans car - I haven't had time to look at the replay so not sure what happened. I thought it better to let Stefan past again and followed him. But my laps were poor, slow and inconsistent. I don't understand how I can drive so well (for me) in practice and then so badly 5 minutes later in the race! Anyway Stefan slowly pulled away from me but he then had a moment and I was back closer to him. A little later down the hill to T2 I saw Stefans car off to the side and thought he was out, but no, I soon heard the drone of his car a little behind me. Finally on lap 6 I buried the car into the tyres at the hairpin (I haven't done that in ages!!! :oops: ) and there was no getting out. Race over. Very poor.
