Nope - I run W10 fully updated and it is fine. I suspect it is related to some W10 setting, monitor settings or graphics card/drivers. I use an nVidia card.
Hi David.
Ok.
My PC has an AMD Radeon. I downloaded the new firmware but it seems it's not so adjustable as the old one I had before.
Drivers are all updated.
I will look also for other setups around.

basics

You want to run a game from 1998/2004 with hard/software from 2024

maybe you have to learn that no manufacturer is interested to support such old stuff, as they dont make money doing so.
The newer the pc, GPU, OS and especially drivers, the worse it will become running GPL!

So get an old business PC from ~2015 with a decent GPU for ~ 100-200€ and install a less possesive OS and have fun :twothumbs:

I just tested with
i3 4150 - 8GB DDR3 - ATI HD5770 - 25€ mobo - W10 on a small 5400 Laptop HDD 250GB
- running AAIOM with a Porsche 910 at stable 60 fps np...

Heheh
That's exactly what I have. It was completely stuck so I expanded it to 16GB RAM and changed the HDD with an SSD.
Now it's a rocket, GPL runs well even at 60 fps full HiRes so I won't kill myself if GPL setup page for some mysterious reason appears 3/4 and not full screen.

I use the ATI CCC 15.7.1 Software and have set the "keep aspect ratio"
what does make the menu in 4:3 - this has on both sides a black bar wich is correct!
Driving it does 16:9 1920x1080 full screen.

PS

in 1998/2004 there were no monitors in 16:9 so the menus are hardcoded in 4:3 - but you can stretch it to 16:9 ;)
